If I Can’t I Must

I can't dive in

How many times do you say “I Can’t” in a day’s time? Many of us say it more often then we think. You might say it out loud, or to yourself, under your breath. You might even believe it on a subconscious level, without being aware of it.

If you make a conscious effort to pay attention to how many times you’re using the phrase “I Can’t” (along with all its forms, like “I’m Not Ready,” “I’m Not Good Enough,” “I Don’t Have What It Takes”), then you’ll be on your way to triggering forward movement.

Only when you start to take notice of “I Can’t” in all its forms can you start to reframe it and use it to your advantage.

In this podcast, I’m going to teach you how to transform every “I Can’t” into “I Must.” In many cases, when you say you can’t do something, you’re really saying you’re afraid to do it. And when you’re afraid to do something, that often means you’re being called to do it.

When you say “I Must” about those things you fear, then you’re committing to playing full-out, without hesitancy, without drawing back, with 100% effort and effectiveness. You’re not just dipping your toe in the swimming pool, you’re diving in with full commitment. Because once you’re in that pool, you’re all in. You’re wet. You’re committed. You’ve got to swim.

From “I Can’t” to Commitment

What does commitment really mean? It’s a desire so intense that you’re willing to do whatever it takes for the outcome…as long as it doesn’t hurt you or anyone else. You will not experience commitment unless you dive in. And you certainly will not experience it if you keep saying things like “I Can’t.”

What have you been holding back on? What are you afraid to do? And what difference do you want to make, but you feel like you don’t have what it takes?

Whatever your answer(s) to those questions, this is your call to shout “I Must” at the top of your voice! It’s scary, I know…but I have wonderful news. You do not have to do it alone.
