Life After Trauma: Navigating a New Normal

life.after.trauma

We’ve been hearing a lot about “the new normal,” and “these uncertain times.” This not good language when you’re navigating life after trauma, or when you’re experiencing anxiety about the future.

Change can be painful. It asks us to look outside our comfort zones. You can face the fears you’re feeling right now, acknowledge them, accept them…but then what? James Baldwin has said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”

There is so much wisdom in that statement. And in this podcast, I’m talking about how you can face fear, anxiety, trauma, grief — in the face of Covid19 and otherwise — to allow those feelings to move through you so you can live life in the flow, embracing a new normal.

The Processes Involved with Life After Trauma

In this podcast, I will be endowing you with many tools and concepts for navigating life after trauma. Breakdown / Break Through / Break Free, The Universe To-Do List, Pinch and Shift, The Comfort Zone Thumb Exercise…and so much more.

You will learn how to acknowledge and embrace all parts of you, to make choices AND decisions, to operate from your mammalian (emotional) brain, to feel your feelings, to stand firm when a whirlwind is swirling around you, to recognize anxiety for what it really is…and the list goes on.

When you learn to navigate life after trauma, you learn to Trust, Allow and Don’t Ask How. You learn to turn the big stuff over to The Universe. You learn to be present and have gratitude in every moment.
